BENJAMIN LEE STANFORD is an Australian born actor. In 2015, he moved to New York City to undertake a Masters of Fine Arts (Acting) at the Actors Studio Drama School. While in school he appeared in numerous short films and web-series in addition to making his New York City stage debut in the New Place Players’ production of The Tempest.
At the Actors Studio Drama School, he studied under renowned teachers such as Susan Aston, Jaqueline Knapp and Corinne Chateau, while attending televised masterclasses seen on Inside the Actors Studio featuring guests such as Bryan Cranston, Jessica Chastain, Viola Davis, Jeff Daniels and many others.
Since completing his MFA in 2018, Benjamin appeared in the 3LD Theatre production of Boeing Boeing which was picked up for a month long engagement at the Breckenridge Backstage Theatre in Colorado. Additionally, after graduating, he held the position of Working Finalist at the esteemed Actors Studio itself. In 2019, at the age of 26, he became the youngest of only four Australians in the Actors Studio’s history to be granted Lifetime Membership, one of only three new members appointed that year by the committee overseen by Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn.
